CD Sunday

Over on CD Sunday this week's challenge is 'Things with whiskers'.  I thought about using a photo of OH before he shaved for my card, but decided that might be a bit too much for people to see!  So instead I used this image from Fee J's Country Cats CD, it also went well for a card I needed to make for a friend's OH to give to her!

Bah! Humbug!

This week's challenge over on Bah! Humbug! is 'Cute Christmas Critters'.  Here is my card, the image is from Joanna Sheen's CD Pamela West.  If you look really carefully as well as the reindeers there is also a black cat sitting on the back of Santa's sledge!

CD Sunday

This week on CD Sunday they have gone wild!  Well the theme is 'On Safari', so a bit wild.  My image is from Joanna Sheen's CD Jayne Netley Mayhew.  I have kept the card very simple to show off the image and the ribbon (I really like ribbons!!).

Bah! Humbug!

My final week as a Guest Designer for Bah! Humbug!  It has been fun and I would like to thank Ann and Max for inviting me to join them at Humbug Hall.  The challenge for this week is 'fabric'.  I have made a book style card with backing paper from Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mayhew, the teddy bear is a fabric square which I have padded and mounted onto a cardboard before putting on the card.

CD Sunday

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Trees'.  I have used a backing paper from Crafters Companion CD SWALK Winter, onto a Gold card.  I have then use a Nestibility to cut the mat out of the same gold card.  The image is from Robert Adams Christmas trees.  Added a sentiment and glittered snowflakes

Crafters Companion Blog Challenge

This month's challenge on Crafters Companion is 'Let it snow'.  This card is from The Snowman.

CD Sunday

I have just had to make a very quick card for someone, these last minute dashes!!  As you might imagine the decision is then what to do.  I had printed a sheet of paisley paper from Kanban Ladies backing papers CD ready for the CD Sunday challenge this week.  Well as that was to hand I used it together with a Hunkydory topper and instant card.  Might not be what the folks at CD Sunday had in mind, but I think it still meets the challenge (especially as I was running out of time anyway)!!

Bah! Humbug!

My third week as a Guest Designer at Bah! Humbug!, it is going by so quickly.  This week the challenge is to make 'bags and/or boxes.

The box was one that I already had die cut and ready to go, the bauble is from a Memory box die.

My bag is from Debbie Moore's Paris gift CD, with the tag cut from a spellbinders die and the ponsettia from MCS die cuts.

Bah! Humbug!

Week two of my visit to Humbug Hall as a Guest Designer, this week the challenge is 'Baby's First Christmas'.  I call this my 'Peek-a-boo card' as it looks as if the snowman is playing it with the baby.  I have had the images for sometime, and can't remember where I got them from.

Wednesday 9 November 2011

CD Sunday

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Sunsets'.  I have taken the image from Robert Adams CD 'Christmas Trees', the backing paper is a piece I found in my stash.  The mat has been cut with a new spellbinder that I got at the NEC.  I have also use 2 Martha Stewart punches for the snowflake border and snowflakes (which have been glittered).  Sentiment produced in MCS.

I am also entering it in CHNC Challenge of 'Bright colours and sparkle'.

Bah! Humbug!

I am very late posting this week, as I have been busy with card orders.  One I was asked to make was to the lady's brother.  Well this fits in well with the challenge on Bah! Humbug! this week which is "With men in mind".  As it is also a scene it will also be good for the CHNC Challenge this week.

The image is from Joanna Sheen's Nostalgia.

Bah! Humbug!

This week on Bah! Humbug! the challenge is 'Good to Eat'.  I have just got the new Snowman 'Walking in the Air' CD from Crafters Companion so thought I would use that.

This image of the snowman on top of a Christmas cake seemed just right!

Bah! Humbug!

Well I am now home again after two weeks in the USA, namely LA, San Francisco and Las Vegas.  Had a great time seeing all the sights, but it is now time to catch up on all the washing and other things.

Over on Bah! Humbug! this week the challenge is Glitz and gitter, while over on the CHNC the challenge is House or Home/Inside or out.

Hope this card meets both challenges!

Wednesday 14 September 2011

Bah! Humbug!

Over on Bah! Humbug! this week the challenge is to do some paper weaving on your card.  Whilst over on CHNC the challenge is to include some swirls.  Being short on time I have come up with this card that combines both!

Wednesday 7 September 2011

CHNC Challenge

The CHNC Challenge this month is to make a card without a sentiment.  I have been making a few smaller Christmas cards lately, to cut the costs of posting.  Because the cards are smaller there is no space to put a sentiment on the front, so I have got round it by using Christmas backing paper.  Here is one, the image is from MCS.

Bah! Humbug!

This week's challenge on Bah! Humbug! is to make the sentiment the main feature of the card.  Hope this one is OK, I have taken the sentiment and because I love ribbons have used one on the side of the card.  I have also cut out a poinsettia to hold the sentiment in place.

Thursday 1 September 2011

Bah! Humbug!

This week's challenge on Bah! Humbug! is 'Here come the girls'.  I have used an image from Crafters Companions Adorables CD for this card.
